This is a rye bread, made with 50% rye flour and wheat flour. We prepare it with rye sourdough, adding a touch of honey for a light sweetness, and of course, salt to balance the flavors.
In Kyiv, this bread has been baked at the KyivKhlib bread factory since 1930 following a classic recipe.
